I'm not appalled by the other reviews as the other reviewer and almost all of my reviews are positive on here. I think Dr. Kozninn has been doing hip replacements for very long and is good at it. But he's old school. Not innovative and was a little short with me & arrogant. Just going by my ex-rays which showed arthritis in both hips, worse in the left, told me that I'd need a hip replacement & said it's early for one but he has done them this early. I was 43.
I've been a runner for years & even run in Kangoo Jumps which take 80% shock off the joints. He had never heard of them & advised to stop anything that had to do with running (it's my passion!). My MRI also never got ordered by Dr. Kozninn's office. Did some research & got a 2nd opinion by a doc who does arthroscopic surgery..as well as a new type of hip replacement called SuperPath. & this doc HAS heard of Kangoo Jumps, and is always finding newer & better remedies.
MRI revealed a labral tear & bone spurs. Spurs weren't so bad yet so he left them alone as the tear was all fringed and the main cause of my pain. The tear was mended & I run often 3-5 miles, in the jumps of course. I will eventually need a hip replacement but I'm going with SuperPath when the time comes! I'm a weightlifter and runner & refuse to be limited. Do your research & get 2nd & 3rd opinions before making this important decision.
