Before the cleaning, our tech walked through the room to make sure he addressed any issues. We have 2 dogs - both of whom were visible to the tech - and understandably our house doesn't smell like flowers. He noticed the pets and saw a few stains on the carpet. He recommended a deep cleaning to get rid of stains, which we paid extra for. Silly me, I thought a deep clean would leave our home smelling a little better too. That night, we noticed that the room smelled A LOT worse than it had before. After running the fan for 3 days with no improvement, I called the company. I was told that "this happens when you get your carpets steam cleaned" Apparently cleaning my carpet has the tendency to make it smell worse. I work for a carpet manufacturer and I would NEVER tell my clients that. She fought me tooth and nail that "they didn't bring the odor with them" (duh) and tried to sell me on having them come back to deodorize. No thanks. She also said she would respond to this review again that they didn't bring the odor.... well, they sure didn't take any away. Carpet now smells in areas that were never stained, like all the dirty water was just recirculated. GROSS.
