  • I LOVE Jim Jenkins Lawn Center!! This place is great! They have an outstanding selection of perennials and trees. Although they do have annuals, the selection is not as vast as other greenhouses that specialize only in flowers. Their plants are healthy and hardy. I often see Jim himself walking about. He is always willing to give advice or answer questions. They have a wide variety of mulch, topsoil, and manure. It is all very reasonably priced. You can get it delivered or pick it up yourself with a truck. The store front is loaded with different items for your gardening needs. Although this may sound silly and tacky to some, one of the best features of this lawn and garden center is the gnome selection. They have so many different kinds of gnomes: big ones, little bity ones, Steeler ones, and other themed gnomes. With my husband being an avid gnome guy, I always can swing by to pick one up as a fun surprise. I did not give this store 5 stars for two reasons: 1. pulling in and out of this place is INSANE! On busy weekends they have a police officer directing traffic, but typically you are on your own. Keep your fingers crossed as you leave. and 2. I think their prices are a bit more expensive than other places. Although they have a lock on the USC market, I think that with some searching you could find other places that are not as pricey. The good news is if you sign up for their email alerts, you can usually get a coupon.
