| - Came in as a party of five yesterday to celebrate two July birthdays. One person wanted sushi, the other wanted KBBQ so we decided to try Biwon since they have both!
Immediately the hostess was kind and attentive. She wanted to seat our group once everyone arrived, one girl was missing, so she had us sit at the sushi bar to order drinks. Very kind of her.
The food was okay. Some of the dishes just weren't appetizing.
We mainly ordered from the sushi side which most of the food came to the table very very slowly. Some dishes didn't reach the table at all and somehow the chef still had time to prepare a roll "on the house". It was very kind of him, but we didn't really want it by the time it arrived. Most of the sushi prepared were just okay in taste.
We ordered brisket, beef and pork belly along with some sides for KBBQ. Meat wise we only got the brisket and all else were forgotten, except somehow they tried to give us marinated chicken, marinated pork, and other marinated meats. Which none of us enjoy eating marinated meats at a KBBQ so that was not our order.
The wait staff were kind to us, but weren't very attentive. When we asked for certain side dishes or even a mug for beer, we would have to flag them down a second time to remind them we ordered or asked for "x" thing. I think the staff may of been overwhelmed. Maybe they were extremely short staffed. Maybe there was a huge flux of people, which is doubtful since we saw maybe two or three tables occupied other than us. I can't really say since the wait staff, although kind, weren't very communicative.
Overall, Biwon lacked in flavor of its dishes and their customer service. Hopefully it was just a bad night and they're usually a lot better.
