  • BBS worked well for our child early on and they progressed quickly. We mostly swam at the Hyatt House location. But in the past year, the teacher turnover was killing their progress. Every month a new instructor would start and have to learn each child's strength and weakness. Some were very good, but quickly left after a month. Our child was suddenly not progressing and eventually we couldn't justify paying the money and lost a full off-season (non-summer) and feel their strokes are undeveloped now. We appreciate the earlier time as we had consistent instructor at each level which gave our kid confidence and progression was as expected. Also the last level our kid was at there were 6 kids to one instructor as opposed to the past 4 they had, and this provided to be too much of a distraction given one or two kids didn't seem like very good swimmers taking a lot of attention from the one instructor. With 30 minutes of time for 6 kids, you basically had less then 5 minutes for each kid to practice strokes. (Last few minutes are free play). I hope they can resolve their staffing problems. I'm sure it's tough to keep good people. The pool was very small and they could barely get any strokes in compared to the community pool which was larger and they allowed the kids to swim longer.
