Ritchi's Diner is a new restaurant that took over Babbo's old spot and although it's nice to have another non-chain restaurant in the area, there are much better options available. I ordered an open faced turkey club sandwich, and I have a few complaints. First the bread on the sandwich wasn't toasted, and it just made the bread soak up too much gravy leaving a very soggy bread with the turkey. The vegetables clearly came from some frozen bag mix bought at Fry's or Walmart. This leads to very disgusting tasting non-fresh vegetables that tastes more like a freezer than it does veges. Also, because it's not fresh veges, it gets overcooked to defrost the greens and leads to even more sogginess. Finally the mashed potatoes tasted like something from a box and lacked butter. The poor sides is not acceptable in this day and age to be a successful restaurant. On a positive note, the turkey and gravy were delicious. It's a start, but for now, Richi's needs to step it up quickly.
