I'm a fan of Intercontinental hotels and as an ambassador member of their rewards club you get some extra perks - such as being upgraded to a suite when you just booked a regular room (can't complain).
Stayed here for 2 nights and enjoyed them both. First off - my room itself was huge and had a nice view of downtown. Second, the other room in the suite had its own bathroom and a nice couch and eating area - it's nice to not always be eating in your bedroom after a long day working.
I ordered room service two separate times - the first time I ordered a pizza and got a salad instead (something I didn't notice until they had left the room). I called up, they immediately apologized, comped my whole meal, I had a pizza within 15 or so minutes (yes, I got to keep the salad).
Checkin/out was fast and easy, and I think the location is great considering where I work when I'm in town (nearby, in Toronto).
Certainly not up to the 5-star hotel levels you'll find elsewhere, and I'm glad they're renovating all the guest suites (this was just starting when I got there) because I can see a lot of the things in this hotel starting to wear.
