| - Wow! I was so happy I finally made it here! What a fabulous meal. We went for an early dinner and got there just in time. It was packed with a line out the door within a half hour of our arrival. I had an interesting Moscow Mule that had cucumber in it as well as the standard ingredients; served in the copper cup. Very refreshing! My friend had a Mojito. We then ordered the bone marrow appetizer and a meat and cheese plate. I had never had bone marrow before, but know it's a foodie fave so I wanted to try it..... Meh....It just tasted like a little piece of beef fat spread on really good toast. The meat and cheese plate was awesome. We had a cheese that had been rubbed with espresso during the aging process....I'd never had coffee-cheese.... lip smackin good....and a burrata , which is housemade mozzarella molded around shreds of the same mozzarella mixed with cream.....OMG, run and order it now! There was also pepper jelly and pesto dipping sauces on the side which were very good.
On to the salad....We split an heirloom tomato, watermelon, feta cheese, pistachio and Frisee salad that was out of this world. I thought my friend was going to lick the plate it came on! Finally, we split a pizza. We picked our ingredients and chose Pepperoni, roasted Queen Creek olives, wild mushrooms, and fresh basil....It was wonderful. The crust was chewy and crusty, thin with just the right amount of char. The sauce was great and toppings even better! Even our server was great. I had a delightful time and highly recommend The Parlor!
