  • Hmmm...wanted to try a place other than Old Fashioned and a friend that used to go to Wisconsin-Madison recommend this place. I gotta say, the ambiance is nice and I bet this would be a great place to throw some drinks down, but I was here for food. I did have 1 beer which they brew onsite and it was decent. The food however, was mediocre. The Cheese Curds were average, definitely not Old Fashioned quality and you get far fewer for more money. Just FYI, cheese curds here are $9 for about 12 pieces versus like 30 pieces at Old Fashioned for $6.95. We also ordered the Poutine which I have to say brought this place from 2 stars to 3 stars. It was the hit. Order this here if you come!! It was so good. I only wish the cheese was melted just a little bit more on the fries. For my entree I ordered the most expensive sandwich at $12 versus the rest of them at 9-10. It was the French Dip which the menu made sound like fresh prime rib sliced on a heavenly bun. It was none of that...what a jip. I bet it was Boar's Head sliced roast beef stacked on a baguette, cut in half and served with Au Jus. Not a fan, and would be hard pressed to return.
