| - We used a groupon to come here on a Friday night, and we really enjoyed our time here. The owners seem to have taken some advise given by previous reviewers here. There was music playing, the coffee area (which is a fenced in space), has been covered up a bit to make it a little less intrusive looking; there are framed pictures of each of the cats on the wall with their names and stories written underneath, and it is clear now who is adoptable and who is not. We arrived at 8:30 pm and stayed until closing at 10:00 pm. It was myself and my husband, two staff and 14 cats. The staff person said they don't get a lot of people in now that the students are gone. It was really nice and we had so much fun with the cats. They were, for the most part, very active and playful. The cafe has installed a bunch of really fun equipment for the cats to play on, and there were a ton of toys around. The coffee, hot chocolate and soda selection was just fine, and if you want seconds, it is only $1.00. I think that is a decrease from when they opened. But really, we were there to hang with the cats and didn't really care about the coffee or soda. There were cat related items for sale in the front, a jar for making donations to the shelter, a binder with information on the shelter that brings the cats that are up for adoption, and they have a really friendly cat that greets you at the front door. Definitely having the groupon helped with the cost, but honestly, both my husband and I said we would pay $10.00 to go back. We cannot have cats where we live, so it was just a nice and relaxing time. Then we hung out on Monroe Street afterwards. Lots of nice restaurants near by.
