| - Im going to be a contradicting voice to all of the ladies reviews here.
Let me clarify first of all that I love the store and the selection alike.
My grievance is.... I have tried to go on my lunch hour at least a dozen times, being that his sign states he opens at noon, I figured ,foolishly perhaps, that he would open at noon. There has not been once...ONCE out of those dozen times that Ive tried to go that he actually was open. I stood on every occasion, hoping he was just running slightly late, with 7 other people today who were going to (past tense) purchase books, as was I. I feel that the owner carries out his business with a distinct lack of respect for the customers and their brief lunch hours. Being a downtown location he must have considered that his lunch hour business would be the most profitable of any time, non??
As much as Ive enjoyed the selection and old book store smell when I have gotten in, I wont be giving it the bakers dozen chance. 12 is enough...like that old TV show, but 4 times more. All I ask is taht if you want to open at 1 or 2 or 3....just change your hours to say that and dont decieve people who have precious time during lunch.
Good bye wordsworth, you and I could have had something special but you werent ready to make the commitment.
