  • While walking aimlessly around Montreal - I came across a line about 100metres long with people patiently waiting like they were about to witness the second coming of God. Curious to see what the fuss was about - I joined the line. After about 25 minutes of waiting I finally got inside what was a tiny take away shop. Not knowing what to order, I ordered what everyone else was ordering - a softie gelato swirly hybrid of 2 flavours - Madagascar vanilla and passion fruit. The gelato was light and creamy and yet with a hint of sorbet freshness. Not too sweet and the passion fruit wasn't too sour or overpowering - just the way I like it. Because it was so busy i tasted the gelato only after walking out of the store and boy am I still kicking myself for not having gotten 2 instead of one.
