I had a poor experience at your store. I believe your staff or at least your manager from the McClintock /Guadalupe location is clearly not familiar with the principle of world class customer service. I came to the store with an electronic coupon. The sales lady explained it could only be honored hard copy. Living in the digital age and working in large corporations fully aware of electronic capabilities I asked if they could print the coupon for me if I emailed it to the store. The sales lady said she would ask the manager. The manager approached me and was extremely rude. He came to me abruptly and asked me what I wanted. I showed my surprise that he had not been updated on the situation and he said he had, so I asked what was his question about if he already knew. He was trying to be intimidating rather than accommodating and frankly his unwillingness to work with me was insulting. He stated he had a printer but no email. Either he is technologically inept (unlikely given his youth) or he simply refused to accommodate. My request was not unreasonable. I work for a paperless organization so it's not rocket science to email a coupon to someone and print it. There are pc's and printers in the store. I was buying an 81.00 bag of dogfood, which I do monthly, asking to use a 3$ coupon. I work in an industry where we strive to service clients and work to ensure their return by showing them their business is valued. You lost business. I went across the street to petco, explained my situation, they honored my coupon by entering it manually and then gave me another coupon for 3$ for my next purchase. They accommodated my needs as a customer without question and have earned my business. The last thing a 44 year professional man needs, after a long awaited day of of fishing, is to have to argue with a rude manager over a 3$ coupon when I have spent hundreds of dollars with your store. Clearly my business is not valued so you will not have to worry about my visits any longer. Let me know how this business model works out for you.
