First of all, this is a cafe and really feels like it. The atmosphere is nice and light and doesn't have the greasy feel of a diner.
We decided to go here instead of the usual Pamelas or even the other hyped Cocoa cafe (which is actually quite good also). This place didn't have any wait - it was self-seating and we were able to place our order quickly at the front.
The French toast I had was really refreshing. A strange description to use with French toast, but it is the only way to describe it. Unlike more traditional French toast, it feels less eggy and instead focuses on berries - there's a berry compote spread on it (no need for maple syrup) and has a sprinkling of blackberries and powdered sugar. I didn't feel comatose afterwards and was able to easily stroll around the strip.
