  • I had read about Cha Garden and their tea sommelier Lola Zhao in several articles and originally wanted to come on a day when she would be in, which I read is on weekends and Wednesdays. However, when I found out about 50% off tea on Tea Tuesdays, of course I had to go then - who doesn't like a discount?! I'm thinking now though that it may be better to go on a day when Lola is working. We opened up our menus not knowing the difference between the teas in each category, and nothing was explained to us when we sat down or when it was time to place our order. The information just listed harvest date, elevation, grower, and tea maker - all were pretty meaningless to us. Even after we asked our server for help, she only explained the difference between the categories of tea listed and not the teas within the categories themselves. I would have chosen one with a cute name but none of them had cute names! In the end my sister picked the tea (one of the oolongs teas, forgot which one) which ended up being more than enough for three of us girls. I'm used to British afternoon tea service, so it was nice to experience something different. It was quite a process and our server explained what she was doing at the time, but honestly I can't remember why each step was done or what each step represented. All I know is that the tea cups were tinier than I'm used to and our server poured us tea many times. It actually felt relaxing to have someone else prepare and pour us our teas and the little cups made it so that you could pace yourself without getting full. Plus, the oolong tea we chose had a nice and light taste to it. This is something you will want to do if you are being leisurely as it is a process and it is quite a bit of tea that you are served. A couple things to note: * The tea lounge is in the lobby of the Lucky Dragon next to the registration desk. It is in the building to your left as you enter from Sahara. * The pool area was closed during our stay so there was only seating inside. I can only give three stars as there was no description/explanation of the types of teas offered nor what to expect with this type of tea service. While it got off on the wrong foot, once the process began, it turned out to be quite nice.
