| - First of all, I'd like to start out saying that I have never been to a Salon in my life. For reasons that are quite understandable. I have a medical condition and therefore I don't always have hair on my head. So the whole pamper yourself thing, I never did. However my sister was getting married and as the time to hit the salon was nearing and the more nervous I was becoming. My sister had already said that I could wear a nice scarf or head band thing so I figured that I would just get my makeup done here at the salon. I remember walking into the salon and being greeted by these beautiful women with mimosas and cookies waiting for us. That instantly put a smile on my face. I was partnered with the lovely Cassidy, and from the minute I sat down in her chair I felt more comfortable that I ever thought I would, and in that instant I decided that I was going to try and get my hair done too. I didn't have to say much to her, she just smiled and said that she would make me feel beautiful. Using what hair I had on my head, my headband and two flower clips I brought, she made me look like a star; and I felt like one too. I don't think I have ever felt so confidant about my hair than I did when she turned the chair and I looked in the mirror. To think that I still had makeup left, I was just in awe. They made my face look so pretty and I didn't feel like I was wearing a ton of makeup. With each passing minute that I spent in their care, the more beautiful I felt, and I don't mean just cause I had my hair and makeup done. I mean they, themselves made me feel pretty and confidant. Their energy was a spectacular ego boost, I have never felt to good about myself in my life. All the ladies were fun to talk to a joke with, we even all chimed in on the songs playing on the radio. This was the best beauty salon experience I've ever had, true it may have been my first, but honestly, it really doesn't get better than that. Now if only I lived in Arizona......but you can bet your bottom dollar that when I head out that way next, you'll find me making some excuse up to pay a visit to the wonderful ladies at Salon Zen!!
