  • Short review: I love what they are trying to do here and the quality of their product is great. They seem to just have the typical hiccups of a newer place and that's ok. I think they're a great spot and I will be coming back. Drinks: They have a great balance of variety versus over-abundance of choice. They have all of the standards that you would expect to find at a coffee shop, as well as choices that play more to their style (ex. the Mexican Latte). And while they do offer a good variety in drinks and brewing methods, they do not overextend themselves with choice and instead seem to focus on making a quality selection of drink. And, their sizes were great for the price. We ordered the Lavender Latte and Honey Vanilla Latte...both were delicious and the table-side drink spritz given as part of the Honey Vanilla Latte was fun. Food: They have a good selection of food. Unfortunately, we were full and only ordered the Elvis Press sandwich, but it was awesome. I definitely get the sense that many of the menu items were family recipes passed down and truly are comfort food. Service: Make no mistake about it, when the staff was attending to us, they were super-friendly and helpful. But, it seemed like it took them a while to get to us. I understand how crazy things can get but it seemed like there were a couple of staff members doing some kind of work on computers off to the side of the coffee bar rather than helping guests. This was an early Saturday afternoon and still pretty busy, so I would expect an all-hands-on-deck approach rather than leaving several staff members to juggle the whole restaurant by themselves. I don't get too worked up over this because I am in the industry and I understand, I am writing this mainly for them. Our server was fantastic (I am so sorry I do not remember his name...but I know what he looks like). He was willing to help us out, gave us suggestions and seemed to have fun with things. The busser checked with us several times and re-filled waters. And even the co-owner (if memory serves from the article I read) even stopped by and was very welcoming. Even the hostess chipped in at clearing our table and got us our check...though I felt bad for asking her for it. Facilities: The place is well-organized, clean and vibrant. I dig the industrial, open-ceiling look that's popular right now and they do it well. They have a good amount of seating, both indoors and outdoors, and can accommodate big parties. I wasn't really a fan of the plastic seats they use, they weren't uncomfortable, just sort of gave an odd sitting position. but that's whatever lol. Overall, this is a cool spot, I fully expect them to iron out their service and I will definitely be back again. I need to try me some comfort food while I hammer down another massive mason jar latte.
