If I could give zero stars I would give negative five stars. This is one of the worst car rental experiences I have ever had. Our flight got in a little early so we were hoping to be on the road quickly since it was late, we were hungry and we still had a two hour drive to our destination. (In a time zone that was an hour later.) After standing in line for at least 20-30 minutes - we were second in line - we were finally helped. Now I know it's the agents job to upsell but we had a contract with Costco and we wanted to stick with that price. We said NO to every option we were offered and after 20-30 minutes saying NO we finally had to initial a bunch of places and sign. We trusted the agent to make our contract exactly the same as the Costco one. We made a giant mistake by not double checking. We got on the road finally over an hour later. We had no issues with the car other than it was dirty inside. Pop spilled in cup holders. Stuff left in seat pockets. Dusty etc. When we returned the car I looked at the total and it was $60+ dollars more. I asked the attendant why and she said we had purchased the roadside assistance. When I told her we definitely had not she said to go talk to the office. The office said to go talk to a manager and not to wait in line. Well we did not get to talk to a manager - but he said he was a supervisor - and we did have to wait again even though we had a plane to catch. He gave us a form to fill out and said someone would contact us but since we initialed the contract we were probably out of luck. He said they would review the video. After much emailing Budget agreed to go halfsies. They never reviewed any video or they would have seen clearly that we were bamboozled. BEWARE! Read everything again and make sure you aren't getting tricked. This is the last time I will use Budget. I have never had any issues with Enterprise and that's who I will use in the future.
