  • So we were kind of late picking up our car... I mean like a day late. I got a discount from work so we got the rental for really cheap for 4 days/3 nights, only $90 including insurance. Sure it was only an ecconomy car but comparing prices with other competitors, Alamo came in cheapest for that length of time (think like $100 cheaper!). So we got in line and waited a good 15 minutes (I totally recommend Express Check-In but the BF is old fashioned and wanted to wait in line) and when we approached the counter, the guy assisting us told us that our rate is now invalid since we were so late to pick it up. BUT he said to hold on and low and behold, we were able to keep our cheap price! If he hadn't hooked it up, we were probably going to pay close to $200 for the car. So we travel to the garage and they didn't have any more ecconomy cars! NO PROBLEM! The attendant upgraded us from an ecconomy to a midsize for free! We chose the bright blue PT Cruiser since it was brand spankin' new. I love that new car smell.... Dropping off the car was super fast and easy as well. Gave the car back to the Alamo attendant, took a shuttle back to the airport and it all took about 15 minutes! I'll be renting from Alamo again!
