  • I wish I could have said I had a better experience but honestly it was just ridiculous. I have to say that my issue is not with the store but with Macys.com. I tried to find a spot to review the website on yelp but didn't. I ordered a pair of boots 2 days ago. After thinking about it over night, I thought I would call to see if I could change the order to a different color. If I did, I would of had to cancel my order and would have lost the discount. I was disappointed but it does say on the website to call within 30 minutes after you place your order. So I get that was my error. After contacting them about trying to switch the color, I received a call from someone at Macy's wanting to confirm my order before it was shipped. I also received an email. I called during lunch and confirmed my order with them. I did ask if I could switch my order since it was from a store I believe but they weren't able to. I said ok and they mentioned that if I wasn't happy, I could return the product. Totally understand so I said to go ahead with the order. During my dinner break, I checked my email and I received an email from Macy's saying my order was cancelled and it couldn't be processed and to call them. So I called them. They said that my order couldn't be processed because my address' didn't match. I was looking at my order and they did match so I was confused. They connected me to another customer service rep and thankfully after about 30 minutes, he was able to get the shoes in the size I wanted. I was annoyed with how long and how many times I had to call to order a pair of boots, but was happy it was resolved. In the morning I check my email and it said the order was cancelled again and to call. I called during my lunch break and was on the phone for about 15 minutes while she "reviewed" my order. In 15 minutes, she couldn't tell me why the order was cancelled. I told her I needed to go to pick up my class and wanted a number to someone who can help me figure out what is going on and that I was frustrated that it was taking so long to figure out what happened. She said I just had to call the customer service number again. Frustrated I told her I had to go and I would have to call back. After work, I called back again, this time the rep was able to tell me quite quickly that my order was cancelled by mistake and unfortunately the boots I wanted were no longer available. They were all apologetic, but that doesn't give me back the 2 hours I spent on the phone with them trying to order a pair of boots. I shop a lot of places, online and at stores and was honestly appalled by the level of competency from their customer service. I'm just keeping my fingers crossed my gc's get credited back and I don't have to deal with them again.
