| - Have been there twice to shop. Poor customer service both times.
The first time, my fiancé was told to come back without me when he was ready to buy. They didn't seem at all interested in showing us rings or diamonds unless we were ready to purchase on the spot. I couldn't tell you if their diamond prices are as great as they say they are, because they wouldn't discuss them with us unless we were buying that day. Further, they told us that the setting we were looking at was price controlled, and that the price would be the same no matter where we bought it. For that reason, and because of how we were treated, we ended up buying the engagement ring at a local family owned jewelry store, where the owners spent hours with us going over the ins and outs of diamonds and the whole buying process.
We decided to give diamonds direct a second chance when we went to look for wedding bands, only because my friends raved about how great their prices were. When we told the sales associate that our wedding wasn't for a year, she immediately lost interest and exited the conversation and told us to come back at another time. Literally. We told her at the beginning of the conversation that we were there to look for men's and women's wedding bands, and she walked away from us before even showing us the men's bands. I had to call her back over as she was walking away and ask her to show us some men's bands. She spent maybe a minute with us, and kept insisting that my fiancé should "look online, figure out what he wants, and come back later." Again, the message we got was: unless you're buying today, stop wasting my time.
We will not be back.
