I first visited Pittsburgh Dance Center for an aerial silks class. Saw the living social deal for two beginning classes and felt the need to try something new. Also it'd been approximately four years since I'd hit the gym, and I was frightened that should I venture back it would hit back. Beforehand, I called the instructor and owner, Holly, to ask her a couple questions. Even over the phone she was upbeat and approachable and thoroughly answered all of my questions.
When my gang of crazies and I showed up for our lesson, the experience was amazing. We partnered up (two people to a silk) and switched off practicing the tricks Holly showed us. As an instructor Holly is very energetic and positive, and the entire atmosphere is very care (and judgement) free. Which was awesome for an uncoordinated klutz machine such as myself.
While I can only speak for the silks lessons, if you're pondering this studio. Go! I did, and it was most definitely one of my better decisions. (:
