I found a stray male cat that needed his vaccines and to be neutered. Sure the "vaccine exam" is complementary with any purchase of surgery ($20 without) but when I ask what the exam found they had no straight answer. So what's the point of this exam then?
He also has ear mites and I ask what the price would be to get that treated. They called and said it would be a $50+ for a two visit treatment so I declined. When I pick him up and paid for the bill I found a random charge for $38.80 titled "Ear Smear Cytology". Mind you I already KNEW he had ear mites and asked what the PRICE of the procedure to treating the mites would be. They very kindly explained that the charge was for testing his ear for the mites.... really?! I never asked for this procedure since I knew he has them, I was asking for a price quote.
Overall they are very nice and friendly but clearly willing to tack on any charge to up your bill.
