  • I like the Barracuda chain. This particular bar, located centrally in Scarborough town, is very spacious, although it can get busy on weekend evenings and in the height of the summer season. The drinks you'll find are all pretty much what you might expect - as a chain there are no guest beers and so on, but I feel the main selling point of this particular bar is the food it offers. True enough, its not really anything gourmet, but its one of the better places to buy bar food. Standard menu choices are complimented by their own south african themed flavours and sauces, and it never usually takes very long for the food to arrive at your table, plus you get the choice of eating in the main bar area or sitting in the more secluded booths to the rear. Prices are pretty good - the huge mixed grill costs under £10 and is more than enough for most people, and theres a mountainous ice cream dessert which costs about £6 and is massive! As bar food goes, this is one of the better places for your money, certainly in Scarborough.
