| - Absolutely not impressed, worst customer service and sales tactics I've ever been subjected to. I tried out Orangetheory's free trial, and the workout was actually pretty fun. It ended up not being my thing, because group fitness doesn't really appeal to me, but I liked the science and data-backed approach they took to calories burnt and fitness goals. HOWEVER. Here are where my positive points end. For the next MONTH after my free trial, I was relentlessly harassed by both phone and email by their pushy sales team to buy a (ridiculously overpriced) membership. Sometimes several times a day. It just did not stop. In the end I had to get quite nasty with them, and demand they stop contacting me. Any sort of business that displays THAT level of disrespect and lack of boundaries with a potential customer does not deserve any of my business, even if I were interested in buying a membership.
I posted these concerns on OT's Facebook page, and what do you know? I was ignored and the next time I checked, my comment had "mysteriously" vanished. And it made me ask myself, if they were THAT unscrupulous and rude before I was even a customer, how much less inclined would they be to remain professional once they already had my money? No thanks, I won't ever touch this business with a 10-foot pole.
