  • I came accross Lush & Lavish in a frantic Yelp search the morning of a friend's wedding. I had come in from Boston the day before and my poor hair was suffering from some severe post-midterm nastyness. After calling around to several different places that either wouldn't take me without an appt or didn't just do blow-outs/styling. Thankfully I found Lush & Lavish and the woman I spoke to on the phone was incredible, told me to come down in 30 min and they would fix me right up. As promised, Lush & Lavish took phenominal care of me. I was greated by 2 of the friendly girls who were at the front, one took my jacked while the other found my stylist. We talked for about 5 minutes about what I was thinking and what we could do given the time constraints. Within 45 minutes we had washed, dried, curled and braided my incredibly thick and wavy hair (actually - my regular stylist tells me I have "African Bushwoman hair" to give y'all an idea), turned me into something wedding appropriate and hopped back into the subway. Will definately keep their number handy for the next round of weddings this summer!
