| - We decided to stop in on a whim for Sunday brunch. Without a reservation, we were seated outdoors. The hostess was pleasant, waiter was attentive, and the seating was clean. He was very pleased with the vegetarian options. I had the avocado bahn mi, which comes with a dressed side of field greens. He had a veggie burrito topped with 2 poached eggs. He loved the red sauce on the burrito and the potatoes weren't soggy or tasteless despite being mixed inside with the vegetables. My food was perfect temperature. The tempura avocado was lightly crisp, as it should be. The dressing and aioli were not overwhelming of the dish. Then came the drinks! He had a tequila bloody Mary that was rich with horseradish. He loved it! I had a red sky and a pharmacist's daughter. There were so many novel options from which to choose. Kaya automatically got 3 stars because their cocktails, which were a little heavily priced for Sunday brunch, were definitely NOT short on the liquors, while still being tasty. Only complaint was the single restroom, although apparently clean, was very dimly lit, bordering on dark. Overall, we'd return.
