You would think bankruptcy scares and store closures would would help a company get itself together. Also Yelp reviews. One would think that supervisors of businesses would use them to educate their staff.
So I received a greeting once I walked through the door and asked if I needed help with anything. I pursued through the store and no one asked me anything else. I stayed in my size section for at least 20 minutes with no follow up. I found a couple pairs that I was interested in with the BOGO offer and put them at the counter which no one was at.
I went back to the men's section which had about ten pairs in the size I was looking at. I was interested in some sandals and asked a sales clerk about the availability of another pair. She said they don't carry much in larger sizes. No, "Were you interested in me finding them st another location?" or something to that effect. Alrighty then. Walmart is a couple hundred yards away with TONS of men's shoes in the size I am looking for.
I went to the small jewelry section and find a couple interesting items which were both in the wrong clearance prong. I have a Birthday coupon which was emailed to me so I want to get as much bang for my buck.
I remember the day when Payless had so many shoes under $20. Now many things range from $27.99 to $49.99. Often times I am ok with this if I have a coupon such as today. Today they have retro styles that I am in to and the American Eagle line usually fulfills my aesthetic tastes.
