  • As my wife and I were searching for this place, we were both expecting to find a cozy little out-of-the-way bar, perhaps tucked into an intimate section of the casino. What we found was some tables and chairs stuck in the middle of the casino -- not at all what we were expecting. Nevertheless, we sat down for a beverage. I had a Modern Times beer, which, at $8, was priced decently, and tasted good. My wife opted for a glass of Krug Champagne, which was a bad decision. The first glass she received was bad, like really oxidated bad; it had a somewhat brownish tint to it, smelled like a wet dog, and tasted really off. The waitress was nice about it, though, and brought out another glass. While the next glass was better, it was nowhere close to being worth the $50 per glass that they were charging -- especially not with sounds of slot machines filling the air. Definitely no need to return to the Laguna Champagne Bar.
