  • Twice - I repeat twice they could have sold me a car. First time = was ready to pull the trigger on a gently used 2015 Honda Pilot. We were about $1000 apart on the price - part of this was some confusion over pricing. Apparently when you see a price for a Pre-Certified Honda, what you're not told is they have to pay either $1200 or $1400 to Honda to have it considered Certified. Hmmm. I would like to know that up front and not have that thrown in last minute when we're talking numbers. It basically gives the dealership a negotiation buffer. I did notice a week later the price was lowered by another $600 and I received a text asking if I still wanted the vehicle. Too late at that point, had moved on to looking at 2016 and 2017 Honda Pilots. Second time = received a very good deal locally, but liked a vehicle at their dealership (features but mostly color scheme) - was looking to have offer matched - made an offer - would have even gone up a $1000 and been way closer to their original asking / list price - was asked to find the offer and send it to them before the salesperson would even submit offer to his manager. Long story short, I accidentally left the paper on my desk over the weekend. There was no trust - no initiative. By the time Monday hit (and I found the paper/offer on my desk) I had already gotten a hot steaming deal on a Toyota Highlander. He who hesitates.... doesn't get my business. They could have easily sold me a car for $34K that second time....
