I see all the good reviews and maybe they were just having an off day. We came to Vegas for four days to visit family. (Yes we grew up here.) My sister decided to get married on this trip. With only a couple weeks to pull this off, I tried to help with anything I could do living in Denver and my sister living in Phoenix. I found the dress where I lived and mailed it to my sister. I told her the shoes are up to her. I sent her the site she needed for the marriage licence. As soon as we got here we got the supplies for her flowers and try to think of any detail we may have forgotten.
The chapel! The day they are getting married we are on line looking for a chapel.
We find a place that sounds reasonable. We try calling. We end up going downtown pay for parking and walk the short distance to the chapel. We see a sign that says be back in 10 minutes. There is a wedding going on and we can see everything because there is a huge window to watch. We wait about 15 minutes and small Elvis walks outside where we are sitting and keeps us company for about 15 minutes. He goes back in and no one comes to get us. A girl with a camera walks into the business and does something on the computer.
I walk in and the lady who officiated the wedding is doing paper work. No one looks at me or tells me they will be right with me. I look around for about 10 minutes. After 10 more minutes I go up to the lady and she doesn't look at me but says, give me one moment. I walk back outside and sit with my sister's for about 10 more minutes. We have been hanging out for about 45 minutes. Its hot and not one person had acknowledged us. I walk back in and the lady says do you want to have a seat inside and lets in the air conditioning.
We wait 20 minutes and I tel my sisters lets go. This is Vegas, we'll find another space. As we walk out the lady watches us leave. She hears me say there is another place near here. The lady says, that's ours too. Lol
It wasn't clean or updated. Its cute if you want the funny Vegas theme. It could be amazing if they would update the decor from the 80s.
It would be better if they would learn customer service and not say it would take one moment and an hour goes by and you have to walk out.
Anyway, we went to Lucky Little Weeding Chapel.
This place was top notch. Very classy, clean and modern. The chapels are glamorous with chandeliers, candelabras and rentals with fresh flowers.
