If it were not for our waiter, I'd given this restaurant two stars. Our waiter was amazing!
The porky belly appetizer was simply too much for my friend and me. It was full of flavor, but way too much grease even after the first bite.
The deviled eggs were beautiful in presentation, but low on flavor and seasonings. My friend and I agreed we could make better deviled eggs at home.
Our filets were pretty awesome...that is after we realized that she received my light pink center and I received her medium well filet.
Last, we had the bread pudding. Maybe it's unfair that I compare all bread pudding desserts to Ruth Chris, but they've set the bar on it! Our dessert came out closer to chilled than room temperature, even though I prefer warm. We loved our waiter so much, we didn't want him to know so we kept it!
If love red meat, order it at Block and Grinder and you'll be pleased, but the small plates and desserts need some work!
