| - We have done wine and painting classes before but a lot of these Pinot's having been popping up so we decided to try this place out.
The pace was very fast. So fast that we felt rushed and were always behind. Which means we didn't have time to drink. You would think that you can enjoy your wine with friends and paint at the same time.
Additionally, our instructor in our opinion was taking his class too seriously. There came a point in our class where we had to stop painting to let it dry, But our group was behind so we continued painting which shouldn't be that big of a deal. We felt we were scolded, not quite yelled at but on the brink, definitely a shift in tone since we didn't put our brushes down.
Now, I understand we had to let our painting dry, but we could have done that after we caught up? I mean we were behind the whole time, why does it matter now that we are all doing the exact same thing at the same time. And here's the kicker... the "class" is supposed to be 7-10, and we finished around 9, they had us do group pictures for their Facebook, put our paintings in frames to make us want to buy a frame -- which makes it seem like all they care about is following a script. The basis of my review is get scolded by the instructor for being told to put the brushes down and not painting anymore, even though we had a bunch of time left in our class. I paid for this, do I should be able to paint as a wish and follow you as a guide. Keyword is GUIDE.
There are a lot of wine and paining classes out there. Pinot feels like the corporation that is trying to make money on a good idea without the customer service of a Mom & Pop.
