| - I have to say that these guys did a poor job the first time. Why I gave them another chance, I have no idea, but this time, I did some research.
The first time, it took three visits to get the brakes "right" and there was still noise. They were trying to get all new struts and shocks that were not necessary.
Next time, I sent my wife in because the brakes still made noice and there was aproblem that may have been an alignment issue or worse.
Well, these guys didn't see a struts and shocks issue, nor the blatantly bald tire on the front left or the worn out (under warranty) pads up front, but did see a need for a thousand dollars of bearing on the front end. A thousand bucks!
Then, talk about hard selling. I won't go into detail, but they just do not stop the hard sell.
I had my wife bring the vehicle home, looked it over, sourced parts and sent it to another shop for an estimate. That shop was a fraction of the cost.
Their cost for patrs was 6.5x what I could buy them for. I should have known it when they scammed my wife into new clips on her brakes the first time.
All in all, if I bought every part they have ever talked about and even the front brakes and have another shop do it, my total cost is about 30% of their quote.. oh, guess what? I don't need shocks and struts... 2 years after they said I did.
