  • Too many more important issues going on in the world, but i got to vent. Just lfet the Nails 4 Less salo left and was a little upset afterwards about my experience. I have never went to a nail shop where I am given a lecture about why I will be charged extra to take off the gel nail polish if I choose to go with regular nail polish because when you get a gel nails they don't charge you for all the shaping and to take the gel nails off because that's included. In other words because they didn't have my color in gel polish I either would have to go ahead and get a gel topcoat for rhe same as a gel fill or be charged for having to take the old gel nail polish off to give me regular polish. THEN the Nail Tech proceeds to explain to me how his extra time to take the nail polish off and not even get started on my nails affects his profit. Something about making only $8 off of the $18 that I will be charged for regular fill. That was a almost 7 minute conversation that was unnecessary to explain to me and then he speaks loudly as if he wanted to make sure that he can have the other nail techs here and join his bandwagon I guess...just unprofessional He states he was worried about me being upset I wasn't upset until I got my lecture from him but I still took it in stride and handled it with Grace. Next thing I know when it's time to shape my nails I guess he didn't pay attention that I had semi stiletto nails and not the oval he was shaping them to be. So when I got to him shaping the third finger I asked is he doing the pointy he then decides to have this smirky attitude replying it's no problem yet I should have just asked (repeating 3x). That may be true but I would think if you're the Nail Tech you could ALSO ask you're customer what they want. My nails still ended up being more oval then pointy . The nail tech did ask was the shape good and just said yes to get it over with. By that time I decided you know this will be the last time that I come here. Instead of walk out or asking for another tech ( the other male tech did great last time). I knew I was getting talked about by the underhanded stares. Its a shame that what should be a pleasurable/relaxing experience turned awkward and resentful...at my expense. I do think nails 4 less does a good job and as I waited for my nails to dry I tried to engage in genuine convo with the other techs as the teaching question ate his lunch in the back. Inside I was cursing up and down . THANKFULLY a lady who I believe was the manager finished the job, being pleasant and she even gave a hand massage. After the nail techs in question returned to work on another customer i gave the standard $5 tip for each service and got my stamps to earn a free pedi. Will I be back? Maybe and if I do that nail techs will not be doing my nails again or lecturing me again. Give me what I want, not just what you feel like doing.
