  • The Satisfied Frog that used to be in this location was one of my favorite stops for good comfort food and I was sad to see this Mexican restaurant replace them. Maybe that's why it took me so long to stop in. They have done a nice job with the decor including the patio...a little bit sleek, a little bit rustic. The smell of smoke hit my nose as soon as I got out of the car...YUM! The place was fairly empty and the staff was friendly and responsive while they dealt with a broken cooler issue. I'm not that familiar with North Mexican food so I started out by ordering the guacamole and my husband ordered the steak enchiladas with green sauce. Along with the guac we were served a basket of tortilla chips and some warm salsa. As others have mentioned the salsa is quite spicy but oh so good and the guacamole was very fresh and some of the best we've had. I then decided to order the bean burrito which came out shortly after my husband's enchiladas. The tortilla tasted freshly made and the filling was great and had a smokey flavor. After pigging out on the guacamole, I could only finish half the burritto but I couldn't stop eating a wonderfully, fresh pico de gallo with romaine lettuce that was served beside the burrito. My husband raved about the enchiladas, especially the green sauce, and cleaned his entire plate. When we got the bill, we noticed we had only been charged $3 (happy hour price) for the guacamole and our total bill was under $30 before tip that included a beer each. They will never replace the Satisfied Frog but I don't think I want them to try. I will definitely be going back.
