  • I went to this dealership last weekend to start my car shopping process. Since my 06 Altima has been pretty reliable I was considering purchasing another Altima. The first person that approached me was named Adrian he was the sales man he showed me a few cars on the lot and he was very nice and accommodating to me he even asked me if I wanted a slice of pizza...several times. I told him I was just starting my process and I would be purchasing a new car soon..August. I only spent about 30 40 minutes at the dealership . I told Adrian I wasn't here today for long and was just starting my search and I did not want to meet with anyone else today. Adrian sent in another man named Daniel Croft in to speak to me after I specifically told Adrian I did not want to speak to anybody else today. The man that Adrian sent in was Daniel Croft, he presented himself to me as a sales manager and began to ask me questions, but I told Adrian I wasn't ready for that step of the process and this wasn't the time. So I was basically forced to sit and talk to Daniel for a few minutes and then I left the dealership. Since my visit I have received four follow up phone calls which I think is a little excessive... coincidentally my engine service light came on after my visit to the dealership I had my car mechanic diagnose the problem he said it was a camshaft sensor and I needed to replace it with the Nissan part not an aftermarket part because it would not work. Since I thought the repair was overpriced, I decided to do some research online and found out that I could do the repair myself. So I called East Charlotte Nissan in Charlotte and I also called Monroe Nissan in Monroe NC to find out the cost of the parts, Monroe Nissan parts rep told me that my fee for the part was $130.38, I then asked him how much my mechanic paid because I knew that he got the part from Nissan in Monroe NC the rep at the parts counter told me that my mechanic paid $63.51, over double the price my mechanic paid.... so I asked to speak to someone in sales I then was hung up on by the rep at the parts counter at Monroe Nissan. So I called back and asked to speak to the sales manager that I just spoke to a week ago Daniel Croft, I was told he was in a morning meeting and he would call me back. Daniel Croft called me back I explained to him that my service engine light came on and that it was diagnosed as a camshaft sensor and I was asking him, since I would be purchasing a vehicle from there in the near future if he could work with me on the cost of the part that needed to get replaced and his response was as follows of course in a condescending demeanor.... He never apologized for the parts guy that hung up on me, he explained to me that my mechanic has a special fee and I am not privy to that fee because I did not have a tax ID number, of course I don't have a tax ID number I don't own a business! Daniel Croft then proceeded to say that my mechanic who bought the part should sell me the part for the fee and then I could install it as I was wanting to do, So he was taking the heat off of him and deflecting onto my mechanic, I told Daniel Croft why are you bringing my mechanic into this he has nothing to do with this this conversation is between you and me and about the camshaft replacement and the future purchase of a new vehicle at your dealership. Daniel Croft offered me $12 off of $130 part, that was his offer to keep me as a customer. He was giving me $12 off a part when I would be spending a future $25,000 to $30,000 at his dealership. Another suggestion presented by Daniel Croft was that I come in today and purchase a new car and I wouldn't have to worry about my repair , now you would think a man I spoke to a week ago would remember that I told him repeatedly, I wouldn't be buying this month I would be purchasing my new car in August. I said to him several times, so you're willing to lose a $25,000- $30,000 sale over a $60 part and Daniel told me YES! He would not accommodate me and lower that part price anymore. He continued to present ridiculous scenarios to me. I told him it's unfortunate because he just lost the sale and I said goodbye and hung up... I have unfortunately had to deal with Monroe Nissan on a couple of occasions and East Charlotte Nissan which are brother-sister dealerships, and every single time I have dealt with these dealerships and many people I know who have dealt with these dealerships complain about their customer service, their rudeness of staff at both locations, their fees and how they belittle and are EXTREMELY condescending to their customers. ***Buyer beware if you want to be treated like crap, in a condescending manner , have terrible customer service, be over-charged, be hung upon by their staff ,then choose Monroe NC Nissan or East Charlotte Nissan! Thx DANIEL CROFT for NOTHING... I'm off to get my new car now...FYI..I can have my friends put positive reviews online too!!
