  • I was back this January and decided to add a star. This place is just too comfortable and cool a place to hang out in--great public spaces, nice pools, good food, EXTREMELY friendly service (I like the people who work at Firesky a lot). Only one reason, really, why I hold off on giving 5 stars: Smoking. It's a total buzz kill in the morning, I get up from my room, the air is cool and crisp, the pools look beautiful, I'm walking through the well kept gardens to get my free coffee (not great but it's coffee)...and there in the open air lobby there's a dude having his morning smoke, hiya! The clean air vibe is gone and the perfect place to sit with your morning paper and your coffee is polluted. Smoke floating out over the pool area too. Ugh, total bummer. Being totally smoke free really makes a difference. It's surprising how far cigarette smoke in the morning, or cigar smoke in the afternoon, can travel in that resort. Hack, hack.
