  • We love this store! Everyone knows us by sight (we've been coming here for about 4 years now) and many of the employees see us as regulars. We've lived in Arcadia for about a decade and a half (between the two of us) and Safeway is literally "right up the street" from our place. The prices are comparable to other stores, the sales are decent, and the selection is good for us as a couple. While the takeover from Albertson's has affected a lot of the normal items, it's really the staff that make this store soar above and beyond any other in this valley. The previous manager, John Cole, moved to another store (we've been told) but he was definitely one of those hands-on type managers and we always saw him working and if we had questions, he could either steer us in the right direction or find an answer for us. We adore Cory, Ashley, Benita, Tim Harris, Vance, and several others. They are some of the most helpful and friendly people ever. They can help you find whatever you need, and if they don't have it they'll do their best to get it, these people should be some of your first contacts. Regardless of the amount of time any of these people have been on their feet doing their job, they are always friendly and super helpful. Ashley is like a little energizer bunny; Cory is very knowledgeable and easy going; Benita is one of the sweetest souls I've ever met; Tim and Vance are a couple of good guys too! If you need something from the grocery store, I would recommend hitting this Safeway on Camelback and 32nd street. Great selection and even better PEOPLE!
