Hmm, I maybe just lucky but i did ask in detail prior to move-in about what are the other fees if any. asked base rent amount, and what are the average price for monthly charge for other stuff i should expect, plus asked utilities average for the unit size i was going to rent so now rent is just about what we discussed and estimated.
for the repair and maintenance, it is adequate to quick in responsiveness. when i ask for something to be fixed it gets done within 48hrs (longest I've waited was for the actual parts that they had to get.) in any sort of emergencies there is designated maintenance guy available which is nice
I mean if you think you are staying in a 500/night hotel or better ones, it may not match your expectations, it is an apartment complex; things does go wrong from time to time, give they haven't so far dissatisfied me with their responsiveness. doggie park could use a water fountain or faucets, but i could just bring a bottle.
