| - I moved to Las Vegas in 2015 to 2016 from the Bay Area , and chose Alicante Apartments because of the newly renovated and modern look they also were accepting of my big dog which I thought was great . The apartments very very cute the pool was beautiful and I was enjoying my new Las Vegas lifestyle and getting along well. I thought I was safe being it was a gated "luxury" apartment located In Summerlin , which I was told is a safe area of Vegas. Well I was totally wrong and completely blindsided at what happened to me is almost like a joke.
I was at the end of my year lease by the way and just renewed it to stay another year . One day I was walking my dog when I got back from out of town and I was told by one of the maintenance workers to "watch out because they be kicking in doors around here" . Pretty much on my next trip out of town (I take my big dog with me when I go) I get a call from Christine the manager saying maintenance noticed my backdoor ajar and if everything was ok. I told her that is not ok and I am out of town and I granted her permission to come in my apartment and see what was going on. She proceeds to tell me my apartment is not only robbed and my home broken into , also it is flooded in about 4 to 5 inches of water . I am in Northern California and start to drive back right away. It took me 8 hours but I got there before nightfall . During my drive they had pumped out all the water and I was left with a horrible smell and nasty floors from the backed up sink , is what they said it was I really have no idea. But from the "flood" damage, all of my dishes that were in my dishwasher & sink were ruined along with shoes that I had on the floor in my hall closet. The flood water was sewage water & was disgusting everything had to be thrown away.
Besides that I was robbed completely blind its been a couple of years and I have not even gotten close to the wardrobe I used to have and I'm really not even the same person anymore this burglary has changed me. Everything I had acquired my whole adult life material wise was taken. All of my Louis Vuttion Bags, all of my Tvs, xbox elecronics, every single tight pair of Jordan's I had and I'm a female so it was jus ridiculous how much time and how comfortable these people that did this were. They even took my Rihanna Fentys , the first ones that came out . I'm from the Bay Area and we like to wear gold or diamond grills , and I had a diamond grill for my teeth and they even took that too . I had a rack of fake diamond hoop and other fake jewelry and they brought it to my bathroom , to the bathroom light to see if it was real and left that . I think these people were professionals . I also knocked on my upstairs neighbor to see if they herd anything because my house was destroyed someone had to hear something . They told me they herd a bunch of notice and even called the apartment security that drives around and and reported the noise : they also told me they seen guys coming from over my patio with tvs and garbage bags. I also followed up and called the apartments "security " company and they told me that they did receive the call from my neighbors but the only thing they did was call the apartment office which was closed it being at 10 at night my neighbors herd all the noise . Completely ridiculous why weren't they police called if someone is calling saying they hear a bunch of noise and something seems off .
Anyway dealing with Christine and the aftermath she was super nonchalant the entire time , found out 3 other apartments were broken into as well. That's 4 apartments in one week . I filed a police report and of course it takes vegas police too long to come out and review the cameras , I moved out to fast . But they made it that way . I decided to move out immediately and cancel my new lease I signed , & it worked out in their favor because the way the did it I had to be out pretty much 4 days after I got robbed . I think they might even made me pay a pro rate or something. They totally set me up and I'd advise anyone even if your from Vegas don't even bother with this place . Then I see the reviews on this joke of a place to live in the last year and it's sad I had to leave a review I hope somebody sues these people .
