  • What a once in a lifetime experience and a great way to celebrate hubby's big birthday. Planned and reserved the helicopter that landed in the Grand Canyon from Las Vegas through Vegas.com. They really sent me to the best even paid extra for newer helicopter. At a little under$500 each we had a stretch limo pick us up at our hotel and take us directly to the helicopter location. Located at McCarran Airport it was very close to our hotel. Once we got to Sundance they checked you in and weighed you on the scales with your personal belongings that you will be taking with you on the helicopter. They take this very serious and if you weigh over 250 LBS you have to pay for an additional seat ouch. Good reason to lose weight before going. I wanted to buy a souvenirs in their Gift Shop however they told me since we already weighed in to get it on our return. Once they were ready to go you were sent to your assigned pilot by number. My husband and I went with 4 others that were also with us from the same hotel that morning. The pilot had taken photos of us to buy later at the Gift Shop in front of the helicopter. Before we took off he had the family of 4 in the back and me and my husband up front. On the way back we sat in the back. It was a smooth ride unlike a small airplane which I have done and was sick. It was beautiful and memorable trip. The pilot played music going and coming that matched the majestic views. Once we landed at the Grand Canyon we had about 45 minutes to walk around talk pictures and we all had picnic lunches served with champagne which was delicious. Once we landed my husband said it was worth every penny.
