  • Unfortunately, I have to update my review with a downgraded 3-stars. There have been service issues the last 3 times I went to the District, which I address below: 1. A group of 4 of us went to the District yesterday for Mother's Day. My friend had called and made a reservation earlier in the week. When we showed up, they had no trace of our reservation and tried to seat us outside (it was 100 degrees outside). Then they tried to seat us in the bar, which only had tall 3-top tables (again, there were 4 of us). They finally sat us at a 5-top table, which wasn't ideal because we felt so far away from each other, but better than sitting outside or at a table for 3. 2. The time before that, I ordered a glass of wine (simple enough, right?), and the wine glass they gave me had a sticky stem, and it was covered in tiny pieces of white cloth (that clearly came from the cloth they used to dry the glass). So I sent it back and asked for another glass, but the second one was also covered in pieces of white cloth, so I sent that back also. Finally the manager came over and he had personally dried this glass with something that didn't rub off on the glass. 3. The time before that, I had ordered the nachos off of the bar menu, which, because of the little "D" next to them, were part of the happy hour menu and were 1/2 priced. When the waitress brought my bill, the nachos were on the bill full price. I told her this was wrong, as the nachos were part of the happy hour menu, and she told me that they had been removed from the happy hour menu, but the menu hadn't been updated. I told her that wasn't my problem and that the menu I ordered from said they 1/2 priced, so she said she would fix it. She brought the bill back again and it still wasn't fixed. So the manager had to come over and for whatever reason, it took them quite sometime to get the price corrected. Individually, these events aren't a big deal, which is why I didn't feel a need to update my review. However, 3 service issues in a row is indicative of some bigger service problems they are having. I don't know if there is a new manager or what, but they need to get it together.
