if you're looking for americanized food and service, you definitely should go elsewhere. the owners of this place used to own a restaurant in thailand and have brought their cooking here to the states. coming from a southeast asian background, i can vouch that their food is more homestyle cooking that restaurant, but that's a good thing in my opinion. i rarely go out for thai food in this city because i can make it in my own house, but when i don't feel like cooking, this is definitely our go-to place. i get that they're in america and they should provide the service that we are accustomed to, but to be honest, i like that it's not so american and resembles more of what you would find in thailand.
the lao style papaya salad and fried fish are awesome, by the way!
