  • Just read about this place at another site so we decided to visit on our trip. My father in law said he recalls going when he was little back in the late 30's and he said that it's really changed and improved a great deal. He said that the market has been there for over a hundred years! Anyway, we went on a Friday morning so there wasn't a huge crowd but it was busy. One building houses flowers, fruits and veggies. The prices were really good especially for someone from Hawaii where everything is pricy. For example, a small pack of blueberries sell in Hawaii for about $6, I saw the same for $2.50! The other building which is just steps away, sells meats, seafood, baked goods, spices, coffee and stuff. You can also buy meats & seafood prepared so all you'd have to do is pop it in your oven or on the bbq grill to cook and serve. It would be great to buy stuff for a dinner party! Bought a giant red velvet cupcake for $2 each and it was really good. Also bought bread and some fruits and veggies. This place is definitely worth the visit even just to see something that has been a part of Cleveland for over a 100 years!
