  • I had the unusual experience of using DHI twice in as many months. I had put an offer on a small townhome and based upon reviews *elsewhere*, called Desert Home Inspections. Michael came out to do the inspection and was very thorough. In fact, he found black mold in two places that I had completely missed. Due to the fact that the seller DID NOT want to do any professional mold abatement, I withdrew my offer and continued to house hunt. When I found another townhome, I called Desert Home Inspections again and Michael arrived once more. He was a little late because the street name is identical to another on the other side of town except that one has two words instead of one! At any rate, he got right to work and pointed out some issues - a couple that required immediate repair (needed to close the deal), a couple of others that could be done now or later, and couple to look out for the future. Both reports were very thorough and very well detailed. As an aside, the transaction completed and I'm now living in the second home! While I don't plan to EVER move again, I would definitely call DHI for the inspection. My agent was very impressed with his work and said that she will plan to recommend DHI to her buyers in the future.
