  • We go to Petsmart usually to pick up feeder fish for our Oscar, every once in awhile we may get a new fish if we find one there that is big enough or compatible in our tank. There have been two occasions at the Lake Pleasant Store, where i have had to help the girl working the fish tanks. Once, while buying feeder fish, the girl had a large hole in her net, resulting in a net full of goldfish spilling out all over the table, which she didnt even notice until i pointed it out to her. Embarrassing. Then tonight, we picked up a pictus catfish for our tank (we have another one in our tank already), these catfish have sharp fins which get stuck in nets and the net she used to net this fish, inevitably got stuck on BOTH it's fins. She held this fish outside of the water for several minutes trying to pry the net off before i told her to lower the fish in the water and assisted her in trying to CAREFULLY get the net off of the fish's fins. She then pulled out a BOX CUTTER in an attempt to cut the net. She then left and returned with scissors, to which i walked away. I returned to her bagging the fish with cut pieces of net still attached to the fish. We now have the fish in a small bowl and are using tweezers to try to remove the net from its fins. We like this location because of it's selection, but if we ever get another fish from this location, we will ask for someone else to assist us.
