| - Just plain bad - one of our worst meal experiences in quite some time.
We came later on a weeknight and the place was less than half full, but the hostess asked if we wanted to "wait 15 minutes or so for a table or just eat at the bar". Huh? We chose to eat at the bar since we were hungry, no big deal.
But then upon sitting down at the bar (which was almost empty, maybe 1 or 2 other people there total), the bartender quickly approached us and asked us to leave since I was with my late teenage daughter who is underage. I explained that the hostess said we could eat at the bar to which the bartender replied "Ugh, she keeps doing that! 3rd time tonight!".
So back we go to the hostess up front saying that they would not let us eat in the bar, and asked for a table (again, it was really only about half full - lots of tables). Still she would not give us a table and instead we were seated at this long strip table that overlooked the Luxor check-in area. We are feeling like lepers at this point, I have no idea why they would not give us a table. Then we watched as others couples came in one after another getting actual tables.....weird. I chalk it up to a young clueless hostess that clearly did not like her job and wanted to be pretty much anyplace else in the world but there that night.
On to the food: it was horrible. Very bland, tasteless, and way overpriced. The drinks were even more expensive. Service was slow and inattentive. Worst Mexican food I've ever eaten. And we were really hungry upon arriving after hiking all day! And yes we were showered up, dressed well and clean in case that's what you were wondering :)
I filled out the user survey for the Luxor which asked about our dining experience at T & T. I filled it out honestly and respectfully but never heard back from them.
We won't be back. Thanks for reading.
