| - Me and my family have been coming to Golden Corral, in many different locations and states, for many years.
For the most part, our experiences have been fairly decent; which is why we keep coming back.
This time around was mostly the same, as far as the food goes. The tater tots looked like they had been fried 3 minutes longer than recommended, and were pretty much just a crispy shell, with all of the potato fried away on the inside.
I DID like the new garlic knot muffins. ( New to me, anyway)
I am still saddened with the changed bread pudding. Not sure how long ago GC changed the recipe, but its NOT what it used to be.
Everything else I had was same-ole-same. Pot roast was good.
The only problem was something that happened to my wife.
As we walked to the booth my daughter had spotted, she was arrying our sons diaper bag and wifes purse..i was carrying the tray with all the drinks and untensils, and my wife was carrying out 20 month old son. As me and daughter make our way to the booth, my wife, unknown to us, broke off and went to grab a high chair.
Once me and daughter get situated, I look back for my wife, and see her coming across the little room, dragging the highchair, still managing to hold onto our squirming son.
She seemed quite unhappy. I found out that she lost a good grip on the highchair while walking in the main area. THREE GC employees walked past her without hardly a second glance by the time I met her halfway to grab the highchair.
Pathetic. Im sure there is no policy within any of GC's employee conduct papers that state it is imperative that employees render assistance to customers, should it appear they need it.
But common sense and basic courtesy should be.
