| - Here is why I chose The Academy Day School for my 3 year old. This preschool has very small student: teacher ratios. Typically, they have only 5 students to each class. For a preschool, this is unheard of as most preschool classes have 14-16 students per teacher.
When we visited other preschools with larger classes, it was chaotic. Kids were everywhere and it was noisy--which is to be expected when there are 14-16 kids in one class. However, when we toured the Academy Day School, it was quiet. Let me explain. The Academy has 3 classes: a 3 year old class, a 4 year old class and a 5 year old class. All classes are held in one multi-purpose room but each class has their designated area when it is time to 'work'. Even with 15 children in one large room, the environment was energetic yet in a calm and organized manner. I know what you are thinking, doesn't seem possible, but it is. And here is why. The owners, Valery and Dane are truly passionate about what they do each day. They teach to each child's strength and empower their students to be not only good learners, but great citizens as well.

For parents who will choose a CTA (Chandler Traditional Academy) for their little one:
They incorporate phonemic awareness and use the Spalding method of phonograms. Children are exposed to the first 72 phonograms from Spalding.
They teach Saxon math.
They have reading teams.
They teach Art Masterpiece.
The school year begins in late July/early August and goes until mid-May. Holidays and breaks are consistent with the Chandler Unified District's Calendar.
The tuition is reasonable and affordable. They offer both a.m. and p.m. classes.
